Sportability Trip
A few of our Castle Garden pupils had the opportunity to visit Surrey Sports Park for a range of exciting sporting activities, including walking basketball, boccia, new age curling, frisbee and inclusive athletics. It was a wonderful experience for pupils to engage with the wider community and proudly represent the school, which they did brilliantly. They returned enthusiastic and eager to share their experiences with both staff and peers, and at the next School Council meeting will contribute ideas for activities we can incorporate into our curriculum and future trips.
The visit provided a truly meaningful and enriching experience for the children, allowing them to build confidence, develop teamwork skills and enjoy success in a supportive and inclusive environment. It was fantastic to see pupils encouraging one another, trying new activities and embracing the opportunity with such positivity. Experiences like this play an important role in supporting both personal and social development, and we are extremely proud of how well the pupils participated and embraced the day. We are very much looking forward to organising similar events in the future and continuing to create opportunities for our pupils to learn, grow and thrive beyond the classroom.
